The Divine Mandate Community Service train, Friday visited Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency where financial and material assistance were shared to youths drawn from the three local government areas of Essien Udim, Ikot Ekpene and Obot Akara.
Distributing the gift items to beneficiaries on behalf of Governor Udom Emmanuel, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, Comrade Aneifiok Iwaudofia and Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation, Mr. Essien Ndueso, appreciated the youths for their unwavering support to the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel these past 5 years, and expressed optimism that they would continue to support the administration till 2023.
They urged those not captured in the distribution to remain patient as another phase of the scheme would hit the constituency.
They applauded them for staying true to their conviction to support the reelection of Governor Emmanuel in 2019 even in the face of war threats by the opposition, remarking that the Governor holds the federal constituency in high esteem.
The Governor’s aides enjoined them to observe the laid down Covid19 prevention protocol as spelt out by the state government, NCDC and W.H.O in order to keep the virus away from the state. They were also advised to eschew vices such as cultism, kidnapping, armed robbery, and any other anti-social behaviour capable of derailing their future.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mary Akpan, and Joseph Udo John among others expressed appreciation to Governor Udom Emmanuel for the palliatives, and assured him of their continuous support.
The Divine Mandate Community Service is a vehicle which Governor Emmanuel has used to reach out to the less privileged and vulnerable members of the society through food items and financial assistance since 2015.
